Mashobra is a beautiful place around 10kms from the capital of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla. Surrounded by the dense woods of Oak and Pine trees, it is exceptionally known for its hilly flora and fauna which adds to its beauty. Located at a height of 2146 m, it also boasts of the famous Oberoi Resort, “The Windflower Hall” which during pre-independence era had been host to British emperors. It’s an ideal picnic spot for the tourists. Durga temple and MahasuDevta Temple are also located in Mashobra. The annual MahasuJatara Festival is celebrated in the temple in the respect of Lord Shiva.
